Chef Gregory Rosary is a Culinary Arts Instructor at The John Folse Culinary Institute of Nicholls State University. Prior to serving in this role, Chef Rosary was the active Saucier at Arnaud’s Restaurant in New Orleans, Louisiana since 2001.
A native of Barnstable, Massachusetts, he started his cooking in the industry at the age of 15 at The Paddock Restaurant in Hyannis on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. This is where he was inspired by his Southern East Coast and Cape Verdean roots.
Chef Greg, aka Chef G, is a graduate of Grambling State University (2000), earning a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. He has been married since 2004 and is the proud father of four children. He and his family are members of First Community Antioch Baptist Church in Lutcher, La.
The latest project Chef Greg has started is a small barbeque business named O.G. Wells Bar-B-Que LLC, selling his own sauces, seasonings, and lunch plates. He and his family presently live in LaPlace, St. John Parish.
Prior to the pandemic, Chef G had a part time band called The Soul Blues Players in which he played lead guitar, harmonica, and on occasion, bass guitar.
