Hon. TIFFANY GAUTIER CHASE received a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Loyola University and her Juris Doctorate from Loyola University College of Law.
Judge Chase began her legal career as a law clerk at the Louisiana Supreme Court. Her tenure with Louisiana’s highest court spanned a total of seven years and ended with her serving as a research attorney to the Honorable Chet D. Traylor. Judge Chase also spent several years as an associate attorney practicing in the areas of asbestos and oil and gas litigation. She served for eleven years as Judge of Division A of Civil District Court for the Parish of Orleans before being elected to the Louisiana Court of Appeal, Fourth Circuit.
In 2013, the Louisiana Supreme Court appointed Judge Chase as Chairperson of the Louisiana Court Security Committee. She also serves on the District Court Rules Committee and the Louisiana Judicial College. In 2024, as Chairperson of the Louisiana Court Security Committee, Judge Chase worked with the Louisiana Legislature to create Louisiana’s first judicial security bill which is aimed at protecting personal identifiable information of Louisiana’s federal and state court judges.
